"It is with great pleasure that the French federation of Canoe-Kayak decided to support the Community of Urban area Pau Pyrénées for the organization of a leg of the Slalom World cup in 2012. The International federation of Canoe officially allotted the second leg of the course to the Community of Urban area Pau Pyrénées. This decision underlines the recognition of the international world of the canoe-kayak. “

This competition will take place from June 14th to June 17th 2012 at the Whitewater Stadium Pau Pyrénées. What the organizing committe would like is to reinforce the whitewater sports like the slalom at the international level in the Aquitaine region. This event is a very beautiful opportunity for the University Palois Club Pyrenees Whitewaters to highlight its action on the canoe-kayak international stage.
In addition to the competition, many animations will be proposed. They will link the canoe-kayak with the territorial developement. Incorporate our sport into the local territorial policies and into sustainable development commitment is a very important action.”

“After the success of the edition 2009, Pau renews with a Canoe-Kayak World Cup inning in 2012. First, it is the recognition of the quality of our Whitewater Canoeing Stadium but also our work and know-how in organizing events. It is also the illustration of the attractivity and the dynamism of our territory.

A few weeks before the London Olympic Games, the competition promises to be outstanding. The public will no doubt support our local champions and cannot fail to appreciate the performances of some 300 athletes from every continent.

“The Aquitanian, Pyrenean, Palois canoe-kayak with the 2009 world cup on the very new Whitewater Stadium Pau Pyrénées acquired a knowl-how in terms of international organization.

Benefiting from this experience, the momentum is continuing with the PPICK (Pau Pyrénées International Canoë Kayak), the perennial Organizing Committee which gathers all the canoe-kayak actors of the territory, to receive once again a world cup inning from June 14th to June 17th 2012. 
Like in 2009 many institutional partners such as the Aquitaine region, the "Conseil Général des Pyrénées Atlantiques, the Community of Urban area Pau Pyrénées, the Olympic and Sporting Regional Committee and the State, accompany us in this sporting and popular challenge. The partners and private companies have also responded favorably to our request and contribute to the realization of this international competition.
